About Carolina Beach State Park (North Carolina)
At the Carolina Beach State Park, one is completely transported to one of the East Coast’s most beautiful parks. With a marina providing some of North Carolina’s best fishing access, secluded campgrounds, and miles of hiking trails, Carolina Beach State Park is a popular coastal attraction for thousands of visitors each year.
They offer the Carnivorous Plant Hike to visitors which exhibits the presence of the Venus fly trap, one of the world’s most unique carnivorous plants, within the park as well as teaching about different habitats that many plants and animals call home. Other activities include hikes among the nine different trails the park has, boating on the Cape Fear River, the Myrtle Grove Sound, and the salt waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and even fishing from the river bank or wheelchair-accessible fishing deck. The list of activities is endless!
The Carolina Beach State Park also features a picnic area under the bank of Snow’s Cut which sits between the marina and campground and underneath large beautiful oak trees with plenty of tables and grills for dining. Some facilities are also available for rent for large parties or events, in addition to cabins and campsites within the park’s grounds, including the park’s 25-person classroom and 65-person auditorium.
