The U.S. Department of Transportation has recognized Myrtle Beach International Airport for having the lowest average prices for domestic airfares in the state of South Carolina.The average domestic round trip airfare to and from Myrtle Beach International Airport was $255.90 last year, and has dropped to $242.93 in 2016.

New 4-D Theatre May be Coming to Broadway at the Beach

New building permits have been filed that hint that Broadway at the Beach may soon be home to a 4-D theatre. The proposed theatre would be located between Joe's Crab Shack and Dragon's Lair Fantasy Golf. However, this would mean that part of the golf course would have to be taken out to make room for the one-story theatre.

The Myrtle Beach International Airport has upgraded its radar technology to the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS). This new system will help air traffic controllers be able to take data from various radar systems in order to analyze traffic and weather in the airspace around the airport.
