Restaurant Openings and Closings

It isn't uncommon to see new restaurants open in the area, and, unfortunately, some resaturants close, too. This week we heard the news about the following restaurants:

  • Rumors are spreading that Sweet Molly's Creamery is expanding and adding a new location somewhere in Myrtle Beach.
  • Ciao Italian Restaurant isn't new, but they do have a new addition to their restaurant: a wine bar!
  • Don't worry; Fractured Prune hasn't closed. The doughnut shop is relocating. Stay tuned for news on their new location.
  • Bliss Restaurant and Lounge has mysteriously closed.

GOP Presidential Candidates to Visit Myrtle Beach

The South Carolina Tea Party Coalition is hosting a convention in Myrtle Beach on January 16-18 at the Springmaid Resort. Presidential candidates will be visiting the area for the convention; some are even making their second stop to Myrtle Beach this year. The candidates attending are:

  • Donald Trump
  • Senator Ted Cruz
  • Governor Mike Huckabee,
  • Rick Santorum
  • Carly Fiorina
  • Ben Carson

New Beach Ball Classic Record Set

New Beach Ball Classic Record Set

Yesterday, Wednesday December 30th, a new record was set at the Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Mullins junior Jalek Felton set a new record by scoring 55 points in one game during the tournament. He is set to attend the University of North Carolina for basketball after he graduates.
