First of all, Happy Holidays from us here at MyrtleBeach.com! This week Ben Carson visited the area, the airport met a coyote, a tape was found in a purchased VCR, and the American Red Cross is preparing for Christmas.

American Red Cross Offers Free Christmas Dinners

American Red Cross Offers Free Christmas Dinners

This year, the American Red Cross are offering free Christmas Dinners to those in need along the Grand Strand. The American Red Cross will provide approximately 7,000 meals for people in Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. These meals will be available, free of charge at the following locations on December 25, 2015:

noon – 3 p.m.
St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church
3301 Hwy 17 Bypass
Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Risen Christ Lutheran
10595 N. Kings Hwy
Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

noon – 3 p.m.
Berlin Memorial United Methodist Church
4182 Hwy 17 Business
Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

For those who are not able to make it to these locations and need meals delivered to them, please call: 843-477-0200. Meals can be delivered anywhere in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Wedding Video Found in Used VCR

Recently, a woman bought a VCR from Goodwill in Carolina Forest. Inside of the VCR was a wedding tape with the label “Jamie + Ron's Wedding + St. Augustine Feb. 28-March 1, 1998.” The woman who found the tape is named Brandy Cantrell Nguyen, and she would like to return the video tape to the owners. Last week we talked about how Ben Carson was going to be visiting the North Myrtle Beach area. Well, yesterday, the presidential candidate stopped by Boulineau's IGA in Cherry Grove to greet supporters. Apprently, hundreds of Ben Carson supporters filled the store to meet their favorite candidate.

Yes; you read that right. Yesterday, a wild coyote found its way inside the Myrtle Beach International Airport. After a little running around, officials were able to corner the coyote and capture it. However, due to safety concerns, the coyote had to be put down.
