Horry County Welcomes Food Truck

A new hot food truck called Stuff Your Face opened on Tuesday in the parking lot of the Palmetto Distillery in Myrtle Beach. Stuff Your Face is the first hot food truck to open since Horry County passed an ordinance that allows food trucks to operate in the county. Stuff Your Face serves a variety of food like Italian sausage and peppers, barbecue, nachos, tacos, chilidogs, and more!

Ronda Rousey Visits Myrtle Beach

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has been in the news a lot lately since her last fight. However, Rousey was in the Myrtle Beach news for a different reason this past weekend. Last Friday, Rousey attended the 239th Marine Corps Ball at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center with Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert. The Marine asked Rousey to go to the Ball with him on an online video, and the UFC fighter said yes.

On Tuesday, three Myrtle Beach tattoo artists volunteered to give “blind” tattoos to customers who were willing to stick a body part through a sheet to get a free tattoo. The catch, however, was that the customers had no idea what their tattoo was going to be of until the artist was done tattooing. This event took place at Red Raven Art Company on Seaboard Street in Myrtle Beach.

Military Appreciation Day Moved to Memorial Day Weekend

 Last year, Military Appreciation Day was moved to the weekend prior to Memorial Day in order to avoid Bikefest traffic. However, this year, the parade will be moved back to Memorial Day weekend. The 2016 Military Appreciation Day will take place on Saturday, May 28th in The Market Common.

Ben Carson to Visit North Myrtle Beach

Ben Carson, a Republican running for president, will be visiting the North Myrtle Beach area on December 22. Dr. Carson will be at Ace Hardware in Boulineau’s of Cherry Grove Beach from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. to campaign.
