What’s New at Broadway at the Beach for 2019
Broadway at the Beach is arguably one of Myrtle Beach’s most popular attractions, and for good reason. This open air entertainment center is home to something for all ages, including a variety of restaurants, bars, nightlife, shops, live entertainment, and attractions!
To keep things fresh, Broadway at the Beach is always looking at ways to expand their options, and there are plenty of new things that have either opened or are planning to open at the attraction in 2019.
Over the past few years, Broadway at the Beach underwent several changes. In 2018, the attraction welcomed the first ever Kwik-E-Mart attraction based off of the convenience store from the famous cartoon The Simpsons, as well as added Kentucky Mist Distillery, The Grumpy Monk restaurant, and new rides to the Pavilion Park Central.
In 2017, Celebrity Square was revamped with new restaurants and bars including Dave & Buster’s, Hard Rock Cafe, American Tap House, and Wahlburgers. The name was also changed from Celebrity Square to The Avenue. Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen also opened in another part of Broadway at the Beach, boasting the tagline “Sand, Surf, and Southern Cooking.” And, just across the street, Carolina Ale House opened its doors to customers.
2016 was also a big year for changes, as the iconic Hard Rock Cafe pyramid was torn down to make room for Dave & Buster’s, and Broadway Louie’s moved to a new location to make room for the new Hard Rock Cafe. Oz Nightclub also opened up next to Malibu’s Surf Bar and several new stores were added as well.
