New $49 flights heading to Myrtle Beach



Allegiant Airlines will offer $49 flights from Kansas City, Mo., to Myrtle Beach this summer, the airline announced today as it kicked off the new route.

The seasonal flights from Kansas City, Mo., to Myrtle Beach will begin June 8, 2018. Passengers who book by April 4 for flights before Aug. 13 will be able to take advantage of the $49 one-way rate. Allegiant announced multiple new routes to popular tourist destinations today. 

“We’re excited to announce these five new routes to some of the country’s most exciting destinations,” said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. “These new routes will allow passengers to have even more options with convenient, nonstop, affordable flights for a great summer getaway.” 

Myrtle Beach International Airport had a record-breaking 2017, welcoming over 1 million passengers. 

Many new flights in and out of Myrtle Beach have already been announced for 2018, including the following:

•Spirit Airlines will be offering nonstop flights to and from the Myrtle Beach International Airport and Minneapolis- St. Paul. The nonstop flights will start taking off on April 12, 2018. These flights will operate three times a week.

•Sun County Airlines will also be adding twice-a-week flights to and from Myrtle Beach and Minneapolis. These will take place on Mondays and Fridays between April 6 and June 4, 2018.

• American Airlines is adding flights between Myrtle Beach and the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. These flights will start on April 7 and will run each Saturday, taking off from MYR at 3:15 p.m.

•Spirit Airlines will also be adding flights to and from MYR and Dallas/Fort Worth. The flights will begin on April 12, 2018, and will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

•Elite Airlines will be offering flights to and from Albany and White Plains, New York beginning on April 5. These flights will run on Thursdays and Sundays. They will also be offering flights to Newport News, Virginia that will run on Fridays and Mondays beginning on April 6.

•Frontier Airlines announced 4 routes to Myrtle Beach for 2018! Nonstop service to Providence, RI will begin on May 20 and will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.Flights to Denver, CO will begin on May 23 and will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Frontier also offers flights to Trenton, NJ that will begin on May 21 and will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flights to Ipslip/Long Island, NY will begin on May 20 and will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

•Allegiant Airlines recently added 3 new routes with nonstop service to Myrtle Beach. Flights from Flint, Mich., and Louisville, Ky., will begin on June 6. Also, service from Nashville, TN will start on June 8.
