Myrtle Beach area campgrounds that are open

Many Myrtle Beach campgrounds are getting back to business after the coronavirus shutdown. Some amenities may be limited as area businesses consider the health and safety of their guests and follow state and local ordinances that encourage social distancing.

Read More: The state of South Carolina has lifted its Work or Home Order and allowed businesses such as restaurants, retail stores, and gyms to reopen with limited capacity.

The following Myrtle Beach-area campgrounds are reopen for guests:

KOA Myrtle Beach

613 5th Avenue South, Myrtle Beach, sc 29577

As of Friday, May 15, KOA Myrtle Beach is open for business and accepting new reservations. 

Lakewood Campground

Beginning Monday, May 18th, Lakewood Campground will re-open with restrictions and guidelines to keep everyone safe. 

The outdoor pool, waterpark, splash-pad, and lazy river will re-open. Only 80 people will be allowed in the pool area. The indoor pool and hot tub will remain closed until further notice. Bike and boat rentals will be available.

Guests must maintain the rules of social distancing (outside of immediate family members).

Myrtle Beach Travel Park Campground

Myrtle Beach Travel Park Campground is welcoming guests back on the property. 

The outdoor pool, indoor pool, lazy river, and splash pad are all set to open Monday, May 18, 2020. They will be admitting a maximum of 180 people into the pool area at a time.

The bath houses will re-open Monday, May 18, 2020. However, these facilities will close on a rotating basis for cleaning and sanitizing.

Guests are required to wear face coverings and are expected to practice physical distancing, when not on their own site.

North Myrtle Beach RV Resort & Dry Dock

North Myrtle Beach RV Resort & Dry Dock will open their pool on May 18th. 

Ocean Lakes Family Campground

Ocean Lakes Family Campground is now open to all guests, from all states, for camping and rentals and are taking new reservations.

The indoor and outdoor pools, Adventure River, and the play features on Splash Zone will be open daily starting Monday, May 18 from 10 AM-6 PM. All slides will remain closed until further notice.

Ocean Lakes will limit occupancy of their facility to 500 people where guests will be allowed in on a first-come, first-served basis.

PirateLand Myrtle Beach

PirateLand Myrtle Beach is currently accepting reservations for campsites and vacation rentals.

The outdoor pool, lazy river and splash pool will open, with limitations, as recommended by SCDHEC and other agencies, on May 20. The indoor pool will remain closed at this time.

Mini-golf, the Indoor Pool Arcade/Snack bar, and Paddle Boats are closed until further notice.

Willow Tree Resort Myrtle Beach

Willow Tree Resort Myrtle Beach will open their pools on Monday, May 18th. Pools will be limited to roughly 25 guests.
