Broadway at the Beach Welcomes New Attractions and Restaurants

Broadway at the Beach is perhaps the most popular attraction in Myrtle Beach, and for good reason – this family friendly destination is home to several specialty shops, awesome restaurants, and fun amusements that attract locals and vacationers time after time. Today, Broadway at the Beach announced that they will be welcoming new additions to the entertainment center.

One of these new additions is Kentucky Mist Distillery, which is now open in the New England Fishing Village West area. This new merchant offers moonshine and other spirits crafted from whole fruit. Sweet South Popcorn is also joining the lineup of new merchants at Broadway. As one may guess, this new addition to the Mediterranean Village area will be selling a variety of flavors of kettle corn along with other refreshments.

Popular Myrtle Beach restaurant and bar, The Grumpy Monk, will be opening its third location at Broadway at the Beach. This popular eatery is known for its wide selection of craft beers as well as fresh sushi and a large variety of other delicious food. This new location will also feature a bottle shop, which will boast unique craft beer from across the United States.

Those who love thrills will be happy to hear that the Pavilion Park West and Pavilion Park Central will be adding new rides and amusements. Pavilion Park West has added the Broadway 360 Observation Wheel, which is a 156 ft. tall wheel with 36 gondolas, providing guests with unbeatable views of the area. Pavilion Park Central welcomes two new rides – The Beast and The Tsunami. Brave souls will take on The Beast, which is the largest pendulum ride in the country.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 2018

In August 2018, Broadway at the Beach celebrated the grand opening of the first ever Kwik-E-Mart! This attraction is based off of the convenience store from the hit television show The Simpsons. Fans will find real-life versions things from the show including Buzz Sodas, Squishees, Heat Lamp Hot Dogs, and Lard Lad Donuts.

Another new addition that opened at Broadway at the Beach this past summer is Waffles & Cream. Waffles & Cream is a food truck located near Joe’s Crab Shack. They are open Easter through September and serve up delectable ice cream and waffle creations such as waffle bowl sundaes, waffles on a stick, waffle nachos and more.
