Banditos Restaurant and Cantina in Myrtle Beach will close temporarily as construction begins on a 50,000 square-foot development. Rumored plans include new restaurants, space for retailers and a venue for live music – all set to open in Spring 2018.

The Atwater Group based out of Chicago, IL will oversee construction for the project which was designed by LS3P Hubbbard. National brands have already committed to space and the complex will feature ocean views, a terrace for live music, outdoor patios and direct access to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

A sign posted at the front door of Banditos stated that the restaurant is “Closed for Construction.” The restaurant is located at 1410 North Ocean Boulevard.

Construction on the new RipTydz Oceanfront Grille and Rooftop Bar continues further south along Ocean Boulevard near 12th Avenue North which plans to open in Spring 2017. The restaurant is just one of many projects set to open in Myrtle Beach in the coming years.
