Description
About The Library

The Library is a Myrtle Beach institution, providing fine dining and impeccable service since 1974. Located in an old strip mall on Kings Highway, The Library provides an oasis of elegance in the bustling downtown district. Anyone looking to impress a date or business associate can count on the only three-star, three-diamond establishment to provide an excellent experience.

The Food

Featuring European and Continental Cuisine, The Library’s extensive menu covers a wide spectrum of dishes that can accommodate even the finickiest taste buds. From the Escargot Chablisiens appetizer cooked in garlic herb butter to the She Crab Soup with sherry, almonds and burnt cream, the starters are on point. The Library is renowned for its Steak Diane, prepared tableside with cognac and burgundy mushrooms, and the Filet and Lobster surf-and-turf special. The Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee desserts are simmered before your eyes for those looking to cap the evening with dessert and coffee, or enjoy a nice cordial and conversation at one of the nicest restaurants in town. The wine list is one of the best in town.

The Atmosphere

Walking into The Library is a welcome escape from the Myrtle Madness to tranquility. Soft classical music and candles set the mood and classic wood interiors and antique artwork and furnishings create an upscale environment for a romantic evening out. Tuxedo-clad servers provide tableside service and go the extra mile to make sure you get what you pay for. Expensive, but worth every penny.
