Lincoln Park Bar & Grill

A newer member of the Surfside Beach restaurant community, this bar and grill is the second location of a New York City eatery/drinkery. By bar, they mean sports bar, but other things like trivia and live music take place here too. And the menu is all over the map, reaching from wings to jambalaya – the theory basically seems to be that if it’s something that they can make taste good, it’s on the menu.

The options here are vast, but not overwhelmingly so. For example, the menu is made up of five basic sections, but each of them contains food from all over the map. Take the selection of Entrees where a quick peek reveals a jumble of cuisines – Cajun, Lowcountry, Latin, Italian, English, Coastal, and New York City. Highlights include Fish Tacos (blackened Mahi Mahi, cole slaw, cilantro lime sour cream), Seafood Mac and Cheese (shrimp, crab, herb cream sauce, penne), and the New York Strip (12oz., caramelized onions, grilled asparagus, black beans). For Appetizers, New York City-style Street Tacos (chicken, beef, or pork) lead the way as most interesting, and standards like Wild Wings (Buffalo, Garlic Buffalo, BBQ, Teriyaki, Sweet Chili Garlic), Fried Calamari, Nachos Supreme, and Cheese Fries fill out the list. Soups incude Chili, She Crab, and Onion, while the Salad selection is Caesar, Mixed Green (sugared pecans, dried cranberries, tomato, cucumber, mango ranch), and a Spinach Salad (walnuts, apricots, mushrooms, feta). Lincoln Park also serves up pizza, though in the form of Grilled Bar Pies instead of the traditional baking method. Options include Spinach & Feta, Tomato Basil, Veggie, Cajun, Sausage & Peppers, or Create Your Own. And for Sandwiches & Wraps, highlights include BBQ Pulled Pork, A French Dip, Chicken Wraps (Buffalo, Sante Fe, Caesar, Blackened), and the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich.

Lincoln Park Bar & Grill Atmosphere

Chili’s used to inhabit the space that Lincoln Park now operates in, but the new tennants have created an environment that has a less corporate, more open feel to it. Like any sports bar worth its salt, sports stuff hangs on the walls, and the bar area is dark wood and tall chairs with televisions tucked into the liquor bottle display. And, as to be expected, the atmosphere is vibrant, the noise level moderate, and the crowd eager to cheer on their favorite teams.
