Veterans Day falls on Friday, November 11, 2021, and there are a variety of ceremonies and special offers for members of our military throughout the Myrtle Beach area.

Veterans Day Ceremonies

Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2102 N. Oak St., Myrtle Beach

11 a.m. Nov. 11 | This event is sponsored by the Military Appreciation Committee and the city of Myrtle Beach. Parking is free.

Surfside Beach Memorial Park, Surfside Drive and N. Willow Drive, Surfside Beach, SC 

2 p.m. Nov. 11 | The Veteran’s Day Service will honor all who served our country. 

American Legion Post 178 Ceremony, 3950 Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet

11 a.m. Nov. 11 | Ceremony will be at 11 a.m. with lunch to follow. 

VFW Post 10420 Ceremony, 4359 Highway 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet 

Begins at noon | Ceremony at noon with food and entertainment to follow.  

War and Peace Concerts, multiple locations

Three concerts will presented by Myrtle Beach’s Long Bay Symphony to honor veterans throughout the weekend with patriotic and military-themed music. Events are free for our veterans or $10 for non-veterans. 

3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12 | First United Methodist Church, 1001 Fifth Avenue, Conway

2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13 | First Presbyterian Church, 3810 Robert M. Grissom Parkway, Myrtle Beach

6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13 | Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1100 Eighth Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach

Military Memorials 

Warbird Park, Farrow Parkway in The Market Common, Myrtle Beach

Park features authentic military aircraft and historic markers with details about the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base along with a Wall of Service honoring those who served at the base. 

Hall of Heroes, Sands Ocean Club, 9550 Shore Drive, Myrtle Beach

Sands Resorts’ Hall of Heroes is a patriotic display that honors veterans of conflicts from the American Revolution to modern wars. It features a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, SC, along with other memorabilia. 

Restaurant Specials for Veterans 

Greg Norman Australian Grille | Greg Norman Australian Grille will be offering 50% off all food items to veterans. Their favorite dish may be just half the price, but you can bet it’ll still be 100% the flavor. 

Bob Evans | Select menu items will be offered for free to all active duty military and veterans on Veterans Day. 

California Dreaming | Half-price entree for all veterans and active duty service members on Veterans Day. 

Carolina Roadhouse | Half-price meal for all active duty service members and veterans on Veterans Day. 

Gulfstream Cafe | Half-price meal for all active duty military and veterans on Veterans Day. 

New York Prime | Half-price meal for all active duty military members and veterans on Veterans Day. 

Cracker Barrel | All veterans an active duty service members receive a slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca Cola Cake at all Cracker Barrel locations. 

Golden Corral | Golden Corral hosts a Military Appreciation Event on Monday, Nov. 14.  All active duty military personnel and veterans will receive a free thank-you meal from 5 to close. 

Logan’s Roadhouse | All active military and veterans eat for free from 3 to 6 p.m. from a special Veterans Day menu on Veterans Day. 

Hard Rock Cafe | All veterans receive a free Legendary Burger on Veterans Day. Those dining with veterans receive 15% off food and non-alcoholic drinks. 

Mission BBQ | All veterans receive a free sandwich on Veterans Day. 

Applebee’s | Veterans eat for free from a special Veterans Day menu. 

The Kitchen Table | Free breakfast for all veterans from 8 to 11 a.m. Veterans Day. 

Drunken Jack’s | 20% off any purchase for veterans on Veterans Day. 

Grand Strand Brewing Company | Free pint for all veterans plus 25% of all sales on Veterans Day go to Operation Gratitude, a non-profit dedicated to volunteerism.
