About Vidalia’s at Sheraton

There’s something about eating at a hotel. If the atmosphere is right, it feels fancy, like maybe something out of a movie. Or maybe the feeling is nostalgia. Who knows?

In Myrtle Beach there are really only a handful of hotels with restaurants that serve more than just eggs and toast. Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center, home to Vidalia’s, is one such hotel.

Vidalia’s at Sheraton Food

The theme of the menu is Southern, but there are plenty of standard American crowd-pleasers as well.

For Appetizers, guests can choose from options like Cornmeal Fried Tomatoes with goat cheese and roasted red pepper, Yellow Corn Grit Cakes with pepper jack cheese and cilantro sour cream, Carolina Blue Crab Cake with Citrus Remoulade, and Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo with long grain rice.

Four Entrée Salads are available, including a Blackened Cobb, Black and Bleu Steak, Caesar with Chicken (also available with shrimp, salmon, or steak), and an Herb-Crusted Salmon Salad with oranges, strawberries, asparagus, spiced pecans, and mixed berry vinaigrette.

The non-salad Entrée selection is a little more broad, with a definite focus on seafood. Highlights include Grilled Mahi Mahi with green tomato & peach relish, black beans cakes, and yellow rice; Cornmeal-Crusted Pan Seared Flounder with country ham grits and lemon pan sauce; and Balsamic Glazed Grilled Salmon with brown sugar-cured bacon, buttermilk Yukon mashed potatoes, and chef’s vegetables. From the land, dishes include Black and Bleu Steak, a New York Strip, Lemon Chicken with Goat Cheese, and Penne Pasta with Smoked Sausage and Spinach in a Garlic Cream Sauce.

Vidalia’s at Sheraton Atmosphere

The wood-themed space spreads out over several rooms, offering a slightly different experience in each. And in the summer, Myrtle Beach is a busy place (think young people), which means that most restaurants can be on the noisy side. However, the ambiance here is quite nice during the calmer months.
