Myrtle Beach is home to dozens of buffets and it's often times hard to pick which one to visit first. In our inaugural Beachie awards, more than 6,000 votes were cast in the Best Buffet category with winners including seafood buffets as well as country cooking eateries.

Crabby Mike’s 290 Highway 17 North, Surfside Beach, SC 29575

Look for the enormous crab-mobile to find Crabby Mike’s in Surfside Beach. This popular buffet is described as “a world of outrageous, entertaining, fascinating, silly, charming, beautiful, incredibly delicious fun.” The restaurant serves tons of piping hot seafood like baked salmon, seafood casserole, fried catfish and more. Also included on the buffet is a cold bar, soup bar, fruit and dessert bar and a salad bar.

The Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood buffet features 170 items. It’s no wonder people have been flocking here for over 30 years. Visit the crab bar for some steamed crab legs or wander over to the pasta station to create a pasta dish. We are in the South so lowcountry cuisine is a must. Other items on the endless buffet include fresh breads and desserts made from scratch, a carving station and much more.

 

Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant 1401 29th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant was opened in 2000 and is an 800-seat restaurant with a Captain’s Lounge, family game room and a retail area. The seafood buffet serves an average of 1 million pounds of crabs legs, 300,000 pounds of fish and 125,000 pounds of steamed shrimp a year. The buffet features an assortment of salads, soups, seafood entrees, prime rib, BBQ ribs, chicken, side dishes and more than a dozen dessert selections.

 

Golden Corral 868 Oak Forest Ln, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

A nationwide chain restaurant, Golden Corral wants you to “help yourself to happiness.” Their endless buffet features made-from-scratch recipes that keep their visitors coming back time and again. The buffet is divided into five categories: hot, salad, bakery and desserts, breakfast and hot soups and potatoes. Everyday menu items include pot roast, banana pudding, Bourbon Street chicken, coleslaw, fried chicken, fudgy brownies, Timberline chili and so much more.

 

Bennett’s Calabash Seafood 9593 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

Bennett’s Calabash Seafood buffet has two convenient Myrtle Beach locations: one on Restaurant Row and one in the heart of town. They offer dozens of buffet favorites and plenty of Calabash-style seafood. Highlights include New England Clam Chowder, large fantail fried shrimp, baked Jack Daniels salmon, T-bone steaks, Low Country boil and more. Visit the raw bar for crab meat, boiled shrimp, steamed crawfish and mussels.

Their buffet is stuffed to the gills with plenty of seafood -- everything from crawfish and steamed oysters to calamari and stuffed flounder. They even feature a hibachi grill with made-to-order dishes. Soups, carved meats, pasta, bakery fresh breads, salads, fruits and desserts line the 170-item buffet. Kids have their very own corner with pizza, chicken tenders, fries and more.

Angelo’s Steak and Pasta may be known for their tasty steaks (they serve 100,000 of them a year!) but they’re also famous for the all-you-can-eat Italian buffet. Popular entrees on the Italian buffet include lasagna, spaghetti, chicken Cacciatore, tortellini Alredo, Italian sausage, meatballs, Italian green beans, meat ravioli, cheese ravioli, stuffed shells, pizza and new specials every day. The buffet comes with a garden salad and fresh baked garlic rolls.

Magnolia’s at 26th is located on Ocean Boulevard directly across from the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant offers an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet with all of your favorite Southern favorites. The breakfast buffet is stacked with pancakes, eggs, country ham and grits among other things. The lunch and dinner buffet features some of the best fried chicken and fried squash you’ll ever put in your mouth. 

 

Ryan’s

Ryan’s prides itself on having food stations everyone will love. They offer comfort foods like macaroni and cheese, hand-breaded fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Create a healthier meal with help from the enormous salad bar or treat yourself to an endless selection of cakes and pies from the dessert bar. In addition to lunch and dinner buffets, Ryan’s also serves up  breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at their Myrtle Beach area locations.

Mammy’s Kitchen has called Myrtle Beach home since 1953 and doors have been open to families ever since they opened. Their legendary Southern-style breakfast buffet is reasonably priced and is sure to please everyone in your party. Stuff yourself with scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles, French toast, pancakes and almost anything else you can think of. They now serve a full all-you-can-eat seafood and country buffet for dinner.
