TBonz has had a big presence on the Grand Strand for over two decades, serving up Certified Angus Steak, fresh fish, and other grilled meats at wallet-friendly prices. Their motto is “The Best Steak You’ve Ever Eaten,” and with longevity and that kind of confidence, it’s probably worth giving the place a try.

The specialty is steaks, and the options are Filet (6 or 9oz), NY Strip, Ribeye, Dry Rubbed Sirloin (6 or 12 oz), Prime Rib (10 or 16oz), House Chop Steak, T-Bone, and a Drunken Ribeye. In addition to the crispy fried onions that come on top, TBonz recommends complementing your chunk of beef with one of three crusts – bleu cheese, pimento cheese, or pepper – and/or sautéed mushrooms and onions.

The list of starters includes Lowcountry Fried Pickles, Bleu Cheese Chips, and Coastal Fried Shrimp, but the specialties are the Tommy Texas Cheese Fries (potato wedges, smoked bacon, Monterrey jack, cheddar, ranch) and their World Famous Jumbo Wings, available in mild buffalo, medium buffalo, hot buffalo, fire buffalo, spicy honey mustard,
bbq, spicy bbq, teriyaki, Thai chili, honey mustard.

From there, the options are many. Choose from chicken, shrimp, ribs, or barbecue from the grill. On the From the Sea portion of the menu, the options are Soy and Ginger Glazed Salmon, Fish and Chips, and Edisto Fried Shrimp. Highlights from the Sandwich list include the Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich and the TBonz Texas Melt, with blackened-shaved prime rib, turkey, smoked bacon, and Monterrey jack cheese.

Evidently the burgers are also famous, and they come in four different ways – Classic (American, lettuce, tomato, pickle), Steakhouse (bleu cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle), Wedge (bleu cheese, iceburg, tomato, bacon), and Southern (pimento cheese, fried onion straws).

And even if you’re just in the mood for a soup and salad, TBonz offers She Crab, Texas Chili, and Lumberjack Stew, along with the standard side salads.
