About Osaka Buffet

It’s no secret that Myrtle Beach is full of buffets of all kinds. In fact, it’s something that many families look forward to on their way to the Grand Strand every year. There are several Chinese buffets of varying quality along the Grand Strand, but for high quality Japanese and Chinese in high quantities, Osaka is the buffet you’re looking for.

Osaka Buffet Food

The options are pretty vast here for lunch and dinner and it would be a surprise if something couldn’t be found for everyone.

One of the great things about buffets is that you can start wherever you want. At Osaka, that can be with a salad, a sushi roll, egg drop soup, ice cream, the Hibachi grill, or a sampling of the many hot entrees.

For a buffet, Osaka is unique in their offering of fresh sushi. Sure, other buffets in town offer the raw fish and rice concoctions, but a sushi chef is almost always on-hand here rolling up something fresh and new. Common rolls to see on the buffet are California, Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Rainbow, and many others.

For those in the mood for a Hibachi experience, step up to the plate and choose your meat, vegetables, rice or noodles, and let the chef know what kind of sauce you prefer. Next, wait five minutes or munch on a spring roll back at the table while your personalized dish is being prepared.

Common entrees at Osaka include General Tso’s Chicken, Pepper Beef with Onions, Grilled Seafood and Crabmeat, Coconut Shrimp, Crab Rangoon, Baked Cheese Mussels, Kung Pao Mushroom, and lots more. For sides, scoop up some white or fried rice, a dinner roll, spring and egg rolls, sweet corn, fried potatoes, or, hey, a slice of pizza.

Another oddity about buffets is that even if there’s no room at the end, most people find themselves indulging in dessert. The sweet options here include several flavors of ice cream and lots of little pastries and baked goods.

Osaka Atmosphere

The dining room is separated into three sections, and each is as casual as the next. The tables are kept clean by the prompt servers, who will sneak over to your table while you’re at the buffet and take care of anything that doesn’t need to be there. And it’s a family-oriented environment, so bring the whole crew and fill up on some quality Asian fare.
