As is to be expected with the word roadhouse in the name, this restaurant at Coastal Grand Mall specializes in big, juicy, hand-cut, wood-grilled steaks. The company was founded in Nashville, and the menu and décor both bear a Tennessee vibe complete with southern-inspired food and southern hospitality. And since much of what is being served is prepared in-house from their own recipes, Logan’s has a flavor that is all its own.
Logan’s Roadhouse Food
If the bottomless buckets of peanuts aren’t enough to hold you over while you wait on your entrée, there are plenty of Appetizer options to munch on. One house favorite is the From-Scratch Loaded Potato Skins, crunchy fried spuds topped with bacon, green onions, and cheddar. Other options include Fried Pickles with housemade ranch, the Southern Onion Tower, Bone-In Wings (Garlic Parmesan, Mild Buffalo, Bourbon BBQ, Hot Buffalo, or Nashville Hot), Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, and Fried ‘Shrooms.
If what you’re after is a hearty meal between a bun, several unique Burgers and Sandwiches are available for the choosing. Signatures include the Fried Cheese & Bacon Burger (fried cheese, thick-cut bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Amazin’ sauce), the Steakhouse Sirloin Melt (Brewski onions, mushrooms, Swiss, chipotle mayo), and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (spicy, hand-breaded chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and bleu cheese for dipping).
The Farm Fresh Salads & Soups list offers some lighter and some heavier fare. Options include the Southern Steakhouse Salad (grilled steak, mixed greens, fresh avocado, bacon, tomato, hard-boiled egg, and yeast roll croutons), the Kickin’ Logan’s Chickin’ Salad (blackened chicken, romaine, tomatoes, cheddar, black bean & roasted corn salsa, tortilla strips), Loaded Potato Soup, and Award-Winning Chili.
The Fresh Hand-Cut Steaks are the main attraction here for most, and the options include The Logan (11 ounces of Black Angus), a 20oz Bone-In Ribeye, 12oz New York Strip Steak, Barrel cut Filet, 22oz Porterhouse, 16oz T-Bone, and Logan’s Prime Rib. The list of Roadhouse Combos combines your favorite steak with things like BBQ ribs, fried of grilled shrimp, chicken, or lobster tail. Also, each entrée comes with salad and side, and can be topped with one or more Steak Toppers, including Bleu Cheese Crumbles, Sauteed Mushrooms, or Brewski Onions.
The Southern Specialties menu is divided into two categories – Real American Roadhouse Meals and More from the Dock. The first includes highlights like Logan’s Famous Baby Back Ribs, Country Style Buttermilk Chicken and Grilled Meatloaf, while the Dock selection includes Coastal Carolina Shrimp, Mesquite Wood-Grilled Salmon, and Southern Fried Fish.
The 12-and-under crowd also has a nice variety of options, including Chicken Tenders, Roadie (mini steak burger), Corndog, Macaroni & Cheese, Grilled Chicken, Popcorn Shrimp, or Steak Tips.
Logan’s Roadhouse Atmosphere
Between the name and all of the peanut shells on the floor, the no-frills casual vibe here is pretty obvious. Seating ranges from tables and booths in the dining room, to stools and high-tops in the bar area. In peak season, try to make a reservation ahead of time – this place fills up fast and waiting times can sometimes be pretty lengthy.
