There are five seasons in Myrtle Beach - summer, spring, winter, fall and golf.

You won't find the latter on an official calendar, but it's outside my window as we speak. The signs are mild temperatures, light winds, low humidity and a 100 percent chance of golfers teeing it up on the Grand Strand.

After a long day on the links, all those golfers stop chasing the little white ball to hunt for bigger game - dinner. Here are five above-par restaurants that are perfect for golfers hungry for a nice post-round meal:

Greg Norman's Australian Grille

The closest thing the Grand Strand has to an authentic English pub is hidden in a Carolina Forest shopping center. But once inside, you'll find yourself in an across-the-pond atmosphere.

Offering 68 different domestic and imported beers and a full menu fit to feed a hungry foursome, Handley's provides a fun, relaxed atmosphere featuring 28 plasma-screen TVs for sports viewing as well as games you can play yourself, like darts and billiards.

Handley's also holds social games that helps the crowd mix and mingle, such as team trivia night and bar bingo. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and there are many nights that are standing-room only.

Quigley’s Pint and Plate

Quigley's Pint & Plate 257 Willbrook Blvd., Pawleys Island, SC 29585

If you're playing some of the beautiful courses on the South Strand, make it a point to check out the only microbrewery in Pawleys Island.

Quigley's makes its own handcrafted beers on site and serves its fresh-brewed ales and lagers in an English pub atmosphere. The bar area offers the best happy hour on the island with $2 house brews from 4 to 7 p.m.

The "plate" is just as good as the "pint," featuring Lowcountry-inspired comfort food that will fill you up after a long day on the links. Shrimp and grits, meat loaf, crab cakes and surf and turf are among the house favorites.

Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse

Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse 2920 Hollywood Drive, Myrtle Beach , SC 29577

This South American-themed churrascaria is a carnivores paradise, featuring a one-price-for-all feast from far south of the border.

Offering grilled and spiced meats cooked over open flame, a well-orchestrated band of gauchos make their rounds through the restaurant with sizzling skewers of beef, seafood, pork, lamb, poultry and vegetables.

The skewers are sliced tableside for those who turn their markers to green, or simply flip the chip to red if you wish to pass on the dish. Before you fill up, be sure to grab a salad and sushi off the buffet table.

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery 1317 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

If Hooters had been founded in Scotland instead of the US, it would probably look a lot like the Tilted Kilt.

Featuring scantly-clad waitresses in plaid skirts, the Tilted Kilt is the ultimate sports bar for golfers. The Kilt offers traditional bar food with some specialties from the UK, like fish and chips and shepherd's pie.

The restaurant features billiards and other bar games and wall-to-wall big screen TVs so you won't miss a play or putt from any game or golf tourney. A wide selection of imported beers on tap are the Kilt's calling card.
