Description
About Bob Evans

Few restaurant names are more American-sounding than this one (though the surname Evans is technically of Welsh origin), and the picture that comes to mind is that of an older gentleman, both friendly and respectful, and probably in possession of many more positive attributes.

Operating under the slogan “Down on the Farm,” what you see in your head when you picture the name Bob Evans is exactly what you’ll find at this national chain – good, reliable, sturdy American food.

Bob Evans Food

The menu here is far too big to list everything, but here’s a quick rundown of what old Bob has to offer.

For breakfast, the place specializes in Sausage and Eggs, but also offers French Toast, Waffles, Hotcakes, and highlights include Sausage Gravy & Biscuits, Country Fried Steak and Farm Fresh Eggs, and the Golden

Cornmeal Mush with two eggs and your choice of meat. And, like a good American eatery, breakfast is served all day.

The lunch menu spans several categories including Farm-Fresh Salads, Specialty Salads, Big Farm Burger Platters, Signature Soups, Farm-Grill Chicken Sandwich Platters, and standout items include the Meatloaf Fork & Knife Sandwich, Five Cheese Grilled Cheese, Farm Favorite Burger, Wildfire Chicken Salad, and The Smokehouse Burger.

And at dinnertime, guests can choose from lists such as Bob Evans Classics, Slow-Roasted Dinners, Seafood, and several of the categories from lunch. And unless you’re in the mood for a sandwich, it’s best advised to head straight to the Classics portion, where items include Blackened USDA Sirloin, Country-Fried Steak, Meatloaf & Gravy, and Fried or Grilled Chicken, each paired with mashed potatoes, green beans, and fresh-baked bread.

Bob Evans Atmosphere

What you’ll notice immediately upon entering any location is that you’re standing in a general store full of knick-knacks, games, collectibles, and stuff like that.

Otherwise, the interior is rather like being in a fancy version of someone’s grandfather’s farmhouse – there’s no hay and horses, but pretty much everything is wooden.
