About Applewood House of Pancakes

This family-owned establishment has a loyal local following among the Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach crowd. The Vlahos family, the owners and operators since 2005, is very active in the community and the support shows in brisk business for breakfast and lunch. Applewood is not just a good place to eat; it’s also a friendly place to visit.

Applewood House of Pancakes Food

Start your day out right with fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes and more. A long list of omelets, including the Seafood Omelet with crab, shrimp, salmon, spinach, tomatoes and Swiss and parmesan cheeses, are popular choices on the breakfast menu. So are the light and fluffy pancakes, topped with all sorts of fruit, nuts and granola. Try the huevos rancheros or the shrimp and grits if you’re feeling adventurous, and wash it down with a selection of coffees and fresh-squeezed juices. Lunch time features a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches, including Applewood’s freshly made chicken, egg and tuna salads. Thursdays are all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar days, with grilled shrimp and chicken available on the buffet, and Sundays see one of the best brunches on the Grand Strand. Banquet facilities are also available for larger parties.

Applewood House of Pancakes Atmosphere

The strip-mall location is a bit tucked away in a shopping plaza off the main highway, but it’s worth the search. A friendly staff and group of regulars make for a warm cup of Southern hospitality to go with your meal. Lowcountry-style décor and the motto “Where Cooking is an art and eating is a pleasure” permeate the restaurant.
