The Gates

The Gates is a very popular community in Myrtle Beach. There are many different builders, so floor plans and house styles vary. You can choose between smaller, ranch style homes and larger, estate style homes, or somewhere in the middle. The Gates contains 4 subdivisions: Sommerset Cove, Villas at the Gates, Charlestowne Village, and Estates at the Gates.

The Gates is located off of Holmestown Road. Within minutes, you can be on Highway 17, which connects you all the way north to North Myrtle Beach and south to Pawleys Island. There is also quick access to Highway 707.

In just 10 minutes you can be at the beach in Surfside enjoying the sun, or you can choose to visit the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk where you can view the beauty of the Inlet while grabbing a bite to eat. Located 3 miles away is the new and growing Sayebrook area, home to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and fast food options. 

Homeowners in The Gates enjoy many amenities including the clubhouse, a swimming pool, sidewalks and winding bike trails. These are all available by a reasonable HOA fee. The Gates is surrounded by wooded areas, allowing noise reduction from the highways and privacy.

The homes are 3, 4, and 5 bedrooms. They can be anywhere from 1,200 to 3,300 square feet and range from $150 to $350k. Most of the home sites in The Lakes have already been built on, so there aren’t many vacant lots except for a few in the back.
