Description
About Atlas Tap House

This location has been host to many different bars over the years, but Atlas Tap House seems to have finally found a combination that works – craft beer, bourbon, and house-smoked barbecue.

Though the food is very tasty, the main attraction here is the beer list, which is as extensive as it is exotic. The bar regularly has a dozen or so different brews on tap and the knowledgeable staff can help reccommend the perfect beer for any taste to help you cool down from a hot summer sun.

Atlas Tap House Food

The menu here is condensed, meaning the kitchen focuses on what they know they can do well rather than serving a long list of random generic dishes.

The appetizer list (Mini Corn dogs, Mozzarella Risotto Balls, Soft Tacos, Mozzarella Sticks, Waffle Fries) mostly exists in case you need a quick bite before your sandwich or burger comes, or in case you just want to have something to nibble on while you enjoy a drink.

From there, diners have three main options – pulled chicken, pulled pork, or a burger.

The chicken and pork are both smoked on-site, and the available sandwich combinations include Asian (cabbage slaw with cucumber and Wasabi ginger remoulade), Cuban (ham, mustard BBQ, pickle, provolone), Southwestern (lettuce, radish, tomato, avocado/jalapeno sauce), and Hawaiian (pineapple and ham with a sweet peach and pineapple puree).

The burger list is highlighted by the Hangover, a generous patty topped with smoked pork, pepper jack, bacon, and a fried egg.

But other options include the Bleu Burger, Swiss Mushroom Burger, BBQ Beach Burger (smoked pork, mustard BBQ, cole slaw), and the Stars and Stripes (lettuce, tomato, onion, American cheese). And all of the sandwiches come with your choice of waffle fries, sweet potato fries, tater tots, or cole slaw.

The Happy Hour (4-7) and Late Night (10-midnight) menu offerings include house-smoked Wings, available in Hot, Mustard BBQ, or Honey BBQ, and their Smoked Chicken or Pork Sandwich.

Atlas Tap House Atmosphere

The vibe here differs slightly depending on whether you want to watch a game and hang out at the bar inside, or sit outside and play Giant Jenga or cornhole. The outdoor crowd can get a little bit rowdier as the game of removing and stacking large pieces of rectangular wood heats up. (It’s more intense than it sounds).

Inside is pretty laid back, with several bar games like pool and darts to keep you busy whether you’re waiting on food or just hanging out.

  • Great Bar with plenty of atmosphere

I have been going here since they first opened and the bar staff is always knowledgeable about the beers that they serve and can suggest one that will surely cure your thirst. The food menu is small but I have tried just about everything they offer and it is all good. Very "homey" atmosphere and a fun place to hang out.
