All staff was overly friendly/helpful. Great service goes a long way and would help us to overlook the older appearance of the halls and rooms when deciding to book in the future. We think the amenities are great with a shuffle board, large outdoor checkers/chess games, and even a small mini-golf course. The water park is great! I think these additions make the resort stand out above the rest. However, when they made a "newer side" they should have renovated the older one first, as it is dark/dirty in the halls and the rooms need some TLC. I will admit however, that the refridgerator was very clean which was a big plus for me. One day the maids skipped our room all together and we were surprised when we returned from a long day, to find this. However, they were very prompt about fixing this situation and the next day, the head of housekeeping showed up at our door to ensure that the room had been properly made up that day. This was a nice touch. We did not enjoy trying to talk to the concierge about any possible discounts to a show or just general information about it and then getting roped into a longer than desired discussion about off-site Wyndham properties that she wanted us to tour as part of a timeshare. I am not sure why there has to be a 200 character minimum here, but I really don't have anything else to say about this place. We just got home today and already miss the beautiful tropical winds and crashing waves. It was a little cooler than I am accustomed to, but I do not usually go there in May. It was still beautiful and the water temperature was wonderful (especially for people who are usually used to swimming in Massachusetts waters!)

Dunes village resort is worth the money. The only downside is the parking. They have a parking garage that is across the street from the resort. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and does a wonderful job, just ask and they will provide. The room that we had was very clean and spacious with all amenties. I would stay here again. Dont come down during biker week unless you like enjoy motorcycles.

The studio room was more than accommodating. Very spacious and nicely outfitted. The ocean view is really nice. The customer service was on point and the water park was a lot of fun for children and adults. The restaurant's buffet was good for breakfast. I enjoyed the Palm Tower. Parking wasn't too inconvenient across the street. It's toward the end of the strip, which I enjoyed because it was quieter with less traffic. The place was clean and safe. The only disappointment I had was not having my room cleaned before I returned in the afternoon some days. It was understandable that they were trying to turn rooms over for guests checking in. When I requested my room to be cleaned, the housekeepers came right away. My first choice for my next stay in Myrtle Beach.

We are having the best time and the service is wonderful. We are in room 531 and we just had our room cleaned by Gloria and she was wonderful and kind and very cheerful and eager to make our stay enjoyable! It is! Also Tonya stopped by to check to make sure that we received great care and gave us the extra towels I forgot to ask Gloria about. I hope Dunes Village knows how lucky they are to have two wonderful people on staff!

This was our second trip to the Dunes and it didn't disappoint. Great family hotel. My 3 year old son loved the toddler pool area and the miniature golf. We had a great corner oceanfront room, very spacious with amazing views of the Atlantic. Also very clean. Looking forward to going back in the fall.
