Description
About Apache Pier

The Apache Pier, part of the larger Apache Family Campground, is the East Coast’s longest wooden pier. Open 365 days a year, the pier is the perfect spot to drop a line and try your luck with the fish or just take a relaxing stroll and check out the scenery.

The pier features a full-service bait-and-tackle shop, which sells shrimp, cut mullet and night crawlers. Visitors can also pick up Myrtle Beach souvenirs and art as well as many other beach necessities, including beach chairs, umbrellas and sunscreen.

Apache Pier is a great place for family entertainment with live bands nightly on the covered center stage throughout the summer and a full arcade for the kids. Grab a bite to eat or a cold drink from Croakers, the oceanfront restaurant and bar.

The fishing is as good as the people-watching on the Apache Pier. Daily and yearly rates are available as are rental rod packages. Discounted rates are available for kids 12 and under. Daily bottom fishing rates are $9.50, which includes two rods. A 7-day bottom fishing pass is $45; a 30-day pass is $140; and an annual pass is $225. King fishing is $19 daily; $70 for 7 days; $175 for 30 days and $325 for the year. Fishing rates are subject to change.

Visitors can walk the pier for a dollar each. The cost is $3 when live music is playing. Kids 12 and under are free. Parking is $5. Access is available through the Apache Campground entrance.

  • Great place to fish and spend time

We vacation in Myrtle on Shore Drive every year and we are at the pier every morning before heading to the beach the Staff and fishermen are great. Have met a lot of good people and build relationships over the years. They do it right and would recommend Apache experience to anyone looking for a good time.
