About Myrtle Beach Pelicans 2015 Schedule
Running April through September, the 2015 season will be the 17th for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and its first as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs after four seasons as part of the Texas Rangers organization.
This season offers locals and visitors a great chance to take in a game at Pelicans Ballpark at TicketReturn.com Field, voted a Top 5 MiLB Stadium Experience by Stadium Journey.
The stadium features a number of great amenities including a craft beer garden, a beach area filled with sand, and more. There are also plenty of activities for kids including inflatables, games, a playground and a wiffle ball court which was recently renovated to look like the famous Wrigley Field in Chicago.
This year's roster features several top prospects within the Cubs farm system, rated as the best in all of baseball by many experts. Led by first-year coach Mark Johnson, the Pelicans will face-off againts stiff Carolina League competion including the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Salem Red Sox, Winston-Salem Dash, Carolina Mudcats, Frederick Keys, Potomac Nationals and the Lynchburg Hillcats.

The birds opens at home on Thursday, April 9 against the Wilmington Blue Rocks at 7:05 p.m. The opener is part of a seven-game homestand at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, featuring the Kansas City affiliate Blue Rocks and the Boston farm team Salem Red Sox.
The newly designed schedule features more games within the division as well as more summer home games with 19 in July and 16 in August. The schedule also favors the majority of Spring Break visitors with home games April 9-15 and April 23-26.
Promotionally, fans will see the return of popular weekly staples such as Thirsty Thursday, with $1.00 draft beers; Wiener Wednesdays, featuring $1.00 hot dogs; and Fiesta Fridays with discounted Mexican food. Fireworks shows take place after the game on several occasions throughout the season.
There are also several creative themed nights throughout the season including a "Geekend" (featuring Hunger Games Night, Star Wars Night, Superhero Night and, Retro Game Night) April 23-26, a Redneck Night (complete with Redneck Wedding) on June 18, Face Your Fears Night on July 7, SNL Tribute Night on July 11 and Old-School Hip-Hop Night on Aug. 6.
Fans will also be able to celebrate a number of holidays with the defending Southern Division Champions. Myrtle Beach plays at home on Memorial Day (May 25 vs. Potomac) and Father's Day (June 21 vs. Lynchburg). The club will also celebrate Independence Day on July 2 and 3 as they host the Salem Red Sox.

All non-Sunday game times are 7:05 p.m. Sundays games are set for 6:05 p.m. starts (except Sunday, April 11 and Sunday, April 26 which are scheduled for 5:05 p.m. first pitch.)
Single-game tickets begin at $9 for Budweiser Thirst Inning Deck (outfield), are $11 for reserved box and $13 for field box seats. Day of game tickets prices are $2 more at each level.
