Changes for 2020: Renovations at Your Favorite Myrtle Beach Hotels

During the off-season, Long Bay Resort has been transformed into a new resort with a new name: Grande Cayman Resort. The renovated property is slated to re-open in spring 2020 with a new tropical vibe inside and out. The exterior of the resort will have a fresh coral-and-white color scheme, and the interior will feature an overhauled lobby, elevators, and Ocean View Cafe. Rooms have also been renovated with new flooring, fixtures, bedding, and decor. Beloved amenities like the indoor and outdoor polls, lazy river, and water slides are all included in the new Grande Cayman Resort. 

Landmark Resort is adding new accommodations options for the 2020 season with the addition of Ocean Escape by Landmark Resort. The new second-row condos are just steps away from the main Landmark Resort building and include all new appliances, furniture and bedding. The condos, which sleep up to 10 people, are equipped with full kitchens, free wi-fi, spacious living space, and washer/dryer units. 

The Breakers Resort began renovations in 2019 that guests this year will be able to enjoy, most notably the addition of  The Cove indoor waterpark. The Cove featured five waterslides, including the Torpedo Shoot, twin Riptide Races slides, and the Twisted Typhoon. The waterpark is open year-round, offering the perfect escape from the hot of summer or the chill of winter. 

The Strand, a boutique resort, in Myrtle Beach has been busy on outdoor improvements that guests will love! The resort renovated its outdoor pool deck and added a new, cozy outdoor seating area with a fire pit. 

Dunes Village is a favorite resort among families because of its massive indoor waterpark and spacious accommodations. The resort has been busy sprucing up over the off-season with new pavers, slides, and mural in the waterpark; new paint, lighting, and carpet throughout the hotel; new cardio equipment in the gym; and a new outdoor water feature! 

Monterey Bay Suites is an iconic oceanfront hotel with a brand new look for 2020. Guests and passersby will immediately notice the new color scheme on the outside of the building with a bold white, blue and green color palette. The changes extend to the inside of the all-suites resort with new furnishings, improved bedding selection, and added variety to the free deluxe breakfast. 

Dayton House is renovating every unit in the oceanfront resort for 2020. Renovations are expected to be completed by March. The resort includes a variety of room types, free daily deluxe breakfast, private balconies and free wi-fi.
