Myrtle Beach is known as a top vacation destination, so it's no surprise that the hotels and resorts here see tons of visitors throughout the year. While some hotels may be relatively new to the Grand Strand, others have been open for years and years. With that being said, sometimes Myrtle Beach hotels and resorts need a facelift every now and then in order to make sure that vacationers feel comfortable and entertained throughout their stay.

Bay View Resort recently made some changes to their property to improve the experience for their guests. This resort, located on the Boardwalk, resurfaced their jacuzzi and lazy river, and they also added new carpet and bathroom mirrors in each guest room. Bay View Resort has also announced plans to renovate all of the elevators on property, too.

Beach Cove Resort is home to the Town Center, which is a big attraction in the resort. Back in 2015, Beach Cove Resort opened up the Town Center, which is a family-friendly space that includes the Winner's Circle Arcade, the Grab N' Go Grill & Coffee Bar, and the Tipsy Turtle Beach Bar. If you're staying at Beach Cove Resort, be sure to check out the Town Center between 7 am and midnight each day (hours may vary depending on season).

Breakers Resort is a popular resort that is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Recently, the property has decided to revamp their rooms by adding brand new white linens for the beds. In addition, Breakers Resort will soon make some changes to the loveable kid's pirate ship, which will will soon include water slides and water cannons.

New for 2016, the Caribbean Resort has made some changes to the interior and exterior of their property. Inside, guests will notice new crown molding inside the Dominican tower, as well as new kitchen backsplashes in the Cayman tower. Additional indoor changes include an extension to the front desk. Outside, visitors will see a new wooden pool deck, a fire pit, new pavers in the waterpark, and new outdoor furniture to lounge on. In the near future, the Caribbean Resort will also be bosting a new spa.

If you're staying at Compass Cove Resort any time soon, you won't have to worry about leaving property for your morning coffee! Compass Cove recently opened Compass Joe in the Pinnacle Building, which is a cafe that serves delicious Starbucks Coffee beverages. Also, Compass Cove has recently renovated their Harbor Gift Shop so that you can find a cool little souvenir for your loved ones right on-site.

If you haven't visited Crown Reef Beach Resort within the past few years, then here are some awesome renovations that you need to hear about. Vacation Myrtle Beach took over Crown Reef back in August of 2013, and ever since then, changes have been happening to this property left and right. Right after Crown Reef was aquired, the property underwent Room Refreshing in order to give the resort a new feel. Then, in 2014, a major change was made when the Town Center opened. The Town Center is a community area, which is home to on-site attractions such as Grab n' Go Grill and Coffee Bar, Loco Gecko Beach Shak, Swirl Ice Cream and Sweet Shop, Winner's Circle Arcade, and Game On! Also in 2015, Crown Reef opened a new waterpark. Guests at Crown Reef will also notice a new gift shop, a sun deck, a new fitness center, a laundry facility, and renovations to the pool bar and conference center lobby.

For the summer season, Landmark Resort recently made some changes to their indoor and outdoor pool areas. The indoor pool was re-done, seeing changes like new brick pavers, more fountains and a retractable pool cover, which allows guest to soak up the natural sun.

As far as the outdoor pool area is concerned, there were lots of great renovations that took place. In the outdoor pool area, Landmark installed an outdoor observation deck, as well as new tiki huts and new landscaping features. In addition, the outdoor pool area was resurfaced with brick pavers, adding a modern feel to the property.

Recently, Long Bay Resort underwent some changes in order to improve the vacation experience for those visiting the property. Changes took place inside of Long Bay's North and South buildings, which included the replacing of mattresses and new lighting installations. In the Savoy building, Long Bay Resort removed old wallpaper, installed new granite and vanities in the kitchens and bathrooms, and also knocked down some walls. Long Bay's three-bedroom units also welcomed new sofas, and the property also took down old wallpaper, knocked down walls, and flattened the ceilings in the units.

Guests at Long Bay Resort will also love the new on-site putt putt course that has opened on the 5th floor sun deck!

For this summer season, Ocean Reef Resort took on the project of completing many renovations. For one, all of the oceanfront units received renovations to their bathrooms. The whole resort, however, has seen new changes to the pool area including the addition of outdoor bathrooms, new pavers, and a new towel hut. Other property changes include the removal of saunas in the banquet hall bathrooms.

Paradise Resort is an oceanfront property located in Myrtle Beach, and not too long ago the resort made some indoor and outdoor changes. To make you feel right at home, Paradise Resort has installed brand new carpet in each guest room. Outside, visitors can use the new beach access, as well as admire the newly resurfaced pool deck and lazy river.

The Strand used to be known as the Breakers Boutique Tower, but this property underwent tons of renovations to make a new name for itself. The Strand opened in 2015 after the old Breakers Boutique Tower was extensively remodeled and renovated to make the property more modern. In addition to offering free continental breakfast, The Strand has also opened The Strand Bar, where guests 21 and up can enjoy a tasty cocktail or drink of choice.
