Yes, it’s a buffet, but this one is both affordable and extensive, and it has simple sushi such as California Rolls on it. I’ve also found yummy American foods there such as a whole side of steamed salmon.

Jay's Asian Fusion Restaurant
This one is out of the way for oceanfront visitors and dwellers, but for those who are golfing or living out near Longs in the western part of Horry County, Jay’s is on their cell phone speed dials. The sushi is excellent and beautiful, and the extensive menu offers Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes. They also have a private room you can reserve for large groups.

In Myrtle Beach time, Bangkok House has been around forever, which is about 20 years. Diners receive consistently delicious and inexpensive food. My favorite is the lunch specials with their ginger soup: If you have a cold, this is just the sinus-clearing remedy you’ll crave.

There used to be two locations, but this is the only one left. What’s great about E Noodles is they take their dishes a half-step above typical Asian fare (try the crispy-fried tofu), but they don’t take it up so far that it’s too pricey.

An Indonesian couple own these restaurants that are locals’ favorites for sushi, especially the happy hour sushi deals. Proprietor Laura Heriyadi’s house-made sauces are incredible.
