Description

About Pearl East

The Pearl East Course saw a major overhaul with its 2009 renovation. The East Course serves up a traditional parkland layout with plenty of gorgeous foliage and incredible views. The Calabash River provides a stunning backdrop to finish out your round. In 2008, Golf Digest awarded the East Course a respectable 4 star rating in its rankings of “Best Places to Play.” The MiniVerde® greens were introduced in 2012 and provide a very true roll that any golfer will appreciate. As one of the more popular courses on the Grand Strand, the East Course is a must play for your next golf vacation.

"Greens were very sandy and rolled accordingly. Fairways were beautiful and tee boxes good. Haven't played here in about 10 years. Didn't have the amenities that it used to but was still a good experience."

"Putting green was in terrible shape. Course was in fair shape, needs a lot of work. Layout and course design were nice. Flowers and nice views were missing."

"The fairways were horrible, weeds and different grasses everywhere. The greens were fast but I didn't like the new grass. I always play the Pearl on my trips to Myrtle but was very disappointed. I might not be back."

"We always played here because of bentgrass greens. Did not like the new stuff. Hot dog was terrible. Pro shop prices too high."

"Many tee boxes were uneven. ALL greens were identical: small, upside-down bowls. Otherwise course was scenic, in good condition and fun to play."

"Pearl East is an excellent course with gorgeous finishing holes, no housing and great conditions. Note that the course doesn't turn at the clubhouse after 9 and the halfway house is not open. "
