"The greens are rough, a lot of tree being cut down. The cups on ll of the greens are ten inches round, I don't what that was about. If I would have known I would not have scheduled this course."

"This is the WORST course I have ever seen. I have gone to Myrtle Beach for 15 years played many dozens of rounds. I have always had a good experience and played on decent to superb conditions. The conditions were by far the worst I have ever seen anywhere. The fairways were a combination of bare dirt, mud and puddles. The greens were little better at least there were no puddles. I know that this is one of the oldest courses in the area but I didn't realize that it was built before the invention of drainage. I never had a shot were there was no mud on the ball. Even the cart paths were bad they were covered over in spots with pine cones and pine needles that haven't been disturbed in months or even years. There is a lot of neglect going on here. When I made the online reservation the course was priced similarly to others in the area. When I got there I felt like I had been swindled. This probably explains why the staff was so surly and didn't make much eye contact. The fact that they mentioned "Oh by the way it's cart path only" as I stepped on the gas to go to the first tee made things even worse. But the real icing on the cake was the 12 inch cups that they had on all the greens. This is something I may never get over. No one will be posting a round from here in the handicap computer. The course also offers young women caddies for $100 a round and the atmosphere in the bar is that of a "Gentlemen's Club" not a grillroom. Not a comfortable situation for a lot of people. The best thing they could do with this course is to sell it for condos or a shopping mall and use the money to send out refund checks to everyone who has played there lately. If this course has the last tee time left when you go online now you know why. Go for a walk instead."

"This was the worst course we played all week by far! It should not even have been open. No re-seeding had taken place. The dead summer grass had been dyed green. It appeared to be a low class second rate operation! A disgrace to a great golf location like Myrtle Beach."
