CCMF Announces More Artists

Carolina Country Music Fest announced 5 female artists that have been added to the lineup. The announcement was made on March 8, 2017, which was International Women’s Day. The artists include Gretchen Wilson, Runaway June, Morgan Myles, Lauren Jenkins, and Kennedy Fitzsimmons. Also, those who have already purchased a GA ticket will get into the Thursday Kick Off concert for free, and those who purchase a GA ticket by March 10th will get a free pass for the Thursday Night Kick Off Concert, too!

Handley's Pub & Grub to go Smoke-Free

Handley’s Pub & Grub in Carolina Forest is a popular sports bar that has welcomed smokers for years. However, on March 15, 2017, the eatery will be smoke-free indoors. The folks at Handley’s still encourage those who smoke to still come and enjoy the restaurant, but ask that smokers please step outside when they want to light up a cigarette.

Man Saves Women from Waccamaw River

Recently, two women (Haley Morris and Kate Henry) were driving when their SUV drove off of the road and into the Waccamaw River near Wacca Wache Marina due to dark and foggy conditions. Thankfully, a man named D.J. Nance was fishing and witnessed the accident. He responded quickly and pulled both women out of the sinking vehicle to safety. Both women are very thankful for Nance’s bravery and now call him their own personal hero.

Pregnant Woman from Myrtle Beach Goes Viral

April the giraffe’s pregnancy has been all over the news and social media as of late, and one Myrtle Beach resident decided to take advantage of that. Erin Dietrich, who has since given birth, decided to parody the giraffe’s pregnancy by wearing a giraffe mask and walking around her house, all while showing off her baby bump. This caught the attention of many news outlets and people on social media. Since the first video, Dietrich also posted another video where she went live from her hospital room waiting to give birth while wearing the giraffe mask.
