Morning
Take A Walk
The Grand Strand is a great walking area, with numerous places that are suitable for a morning stroll. Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and The Market Common are each built on or adjacent to a lake, and the crowds don’t really start packing these places until after lunch. So take advantage of the relative calm and check out the specialty shops at three of South Carolina’s most popular attractions.
Enjoy a great Breakfast
If the morning stroll has left you a little hungry, head over to Croissants Bistro & Bakery to find out why locals continue to pack the place for breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch. Morning favorites include items like Crab Cake Benedict, Bananas Foster French Toast, a Ham, Herb, & Brie Omelet, and the Pennsylvania Dutch Style Pancakes. You can explore as much or as little as you like, whether that means wandering around the gardens until you drop, or finding that perfect scenic spot and relaxing in the shade. Brookgreen also hosts several special events each week, including educational forums, boat rides on the river, and cooking classes.

Take in the sights at one of the most beautiful areas on the Grand Strand with a stroll on this marsh-front walkway. Afterwards, grab an appetizer or late lunch at one of the great restaurants in the area and chat it up with some fellow diners.

If you’re feeling like getting a little bit revved up after lunch, head to this go-kart haven for a few laps behind the wheel of a super-fun vehicle. A perfect day in Myrtle Beach should involve taking your mind completely away from whatever it is that you left at home, and Broadway Grand Prix offers seven race tracks, two 18-hole mini-golf courses, a rock-climbing wall, arcade, and an exhilarating Sky Coaster.
Play a round of golf
Some golfers prefer to tee it up in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. But this is Myrtle Beach, and the summer sun should be embraced, not avoided. Also, cheaper rates are available in the p.m., and courses are often much less crowded. Our perfect round would end just in time for a shower before heading out to dinner, and would involve several birdies and maybe even an eagle.
