Tupelo Honey Cafe To Open New Location at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach



Tupelo Honey Cafe will open in Myrtle Beach in spring of 2015. The restaurants is based in Ashleville, N.C. and will open the new location in the former Tommy Bahama Restaurant site at The Market Common. The new location in Myrtle Beach will have 270 seats acorss 8,000 square feet of space. They'll offer indoor and outdoor options.

Tupelo Honey Cafe features the best of Southern cooking with a little flair- all made fresh and from scratch. The artsy restaurant features specialties like Appalachian egg rolls made with slow-roasted pulled pork tossed in smoked jalapeno BBQ sauce rolled with braised greens, pickled onions and shredded carrots; Grateful Dead Black Bean Burger; Brian's Shrimp and Grits prepared six ways; Cajun Skillet Catfish; Sweet Potato Pancakes with whipped peach butter and spiced pecans (featured on Rachael Ray!) and Fried Chicken and Biscuits. They have an assortment of entrees, salads, appetizers, desserts, breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. There's even a Gluten Free menu and extensive cocktails list.

The restaurant started in Asheville in 2001 and quickly grew. Curently there are seven Tupelo Honey Cafe locations open in North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina. Two more restaurants are slated to open in Atlanta, GA. and Raleigh, N.C.
