Top Ten Things to Do with Kids in Myrtle Beach

Take your kids to Sky Zone (formerly Rockin’ Jump) while you’re in Myrtle Beach and they’ll be sure to have a blast! This indoor trampoline park is great for all ages and includes attractions like the Open Jump Arena, Dodgeball, Slam Dunk Zone, Ninja Course, and much more! 

Most people think of expansive gardens and beautiful sculptures when they hear about Brookgreen Gardens, but they also have their very own zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. As the only zoo with that honor along the coast in the Carolinas, you can spot otters, Spanish goats, bald eagles, Marsh Tacky horses and a handful of other native animal species on the grounds. 

Plan a day at Myrtle Waves,  located in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Waves is comprised of over one million gallons of water on its expansive property. Gigantic slides like the turbo twisters, raft rides and fun family attractions will have your kids begging for more. The park is open select dates from May through Labor Day.  

Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center is a family-friendly attraction that has three separate attractions under one roof. For one, there is the Hollywood Wax Museum which features where you and your kids will love seeing life-like wax sculptures of your favorite celebrities. The second attraction is a favorite with younger kids, and it is called Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors. Rescue Hannah from Ugly Hetty’s spell by helping your kids through the mirror maze. Finally, the third attraction is Outbreak: Dread the Undead which may be a little scary for smaller children, but a blast for those who are a little older. Make your way through a maze to escape from zombies!

To see Myrtle Beach in a completely different way, be sure to plan a ride or two on the SkyWheel, located on the oceanfront boardwalk. You and your family will sit high above the Atlantic Ocean in a climate-controlled glass gondola with panoramic views of downtown Myrtle Beach and beyond. The attraction is open year-round and each night one million lights strategically placed on the wheel deliver an amazing show. Day or night, this is something your entire family will love.

WonderWorks, a museum for the mind,” is located at Broadway at the Beach. With over 100 hands-on exhibits, laser tag, ropes course and zip-lines, you can visit the attraction over and over and still discover something new. An Anti-Gravity Tunnel, Hurricane Shack, 360 Degree Bikes and Roller Coaster Simulators are just a few of the exhibits you and your kids will love. WonderWorks truly offers fun for all ages.

Perhaps one of the most visited attractions at the beach, Ripley’s Aquarium is an ocean of fun for everyone.” The shark tunnel provides an unbelievable look at several species of sharks, fish and sea turtles. Greet the penguins and watch them frolic in the Penguin Playhouse. Enjoy a hands-on experience with sting rays and horseshoe crabs or take a look at the living gallery for an in depth look at species you’ve never even heard of. A new sloth exhibit is coming in spring 2023. Exhibits are updated regularly so each visit is never the same. The aquarium is open year-round at is located at Broadway at the Beach.

If you’re feeling the need for speed, check out Broadway Grand Prix Family Race Park in Myrtle Beach. The attraction is home to seven go-kart tracks for all skill levels plus a kid zone with a carousel, kiddie speedway, spin rides and more. Climb the rock wall then move on to a round of mini golf – it’s all here.

For a truly unique vacation experience, hop aboard Blackbeard’s Treasure Hunter for an exciting adventure on the water. Before you set sail, the kids will be transformed into pirates in preparation for their battle against Bad Billy Bones using high-powered water cannons. You will get wet in this interactive adventure so dress accordingly. Your little buccaneers will be telling this tale long after the vacation ends.  

Spend the day at The Track in Myrtle Beach. Take a spin on one of the two elevated go-kart tracks or splash away on the Blaster Boats. The Track also features a full arcade, kiddie rides, and the new Spinning Coaster.
