It’s no surprise that an oceanfront restaurant would make our list of most romantic places to eat in Myrtle Beach. Sea Captain’s House delivers unbelievable views of the Atlantic Ocean from every table and delicious food. Take your time at dinner and order their famous She Crab soup to start. The Southern Scampi Cordon Blue and Fresh Atlantic Yellowfin Tuna are just a couple of the Captain’s Favorites on their extensive dinner menu.

Wicked Tuna is located along the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk and features stunning views of the salt marshes. Boats deliver fresh seafood each day for a true hook to plate” experience with every meal. Order a specialty cocktail at the plush bar while you wait for your table. The sushi and raw bar appetizers are a great way to start off your meal. Follow that up with local grouper served with jumbo shrimp with Creole cream over pea, artichoke and mushroom risotto. The S’mores Baked Alaska is the perfect dessert for two.

Chef Curry Martin carefully crafts his menu around fresh, local ingredients. The menu changes seasonally and features a variety of steak, seafood, pork, lamb and much more. Chef’s Special menu items include Fried Green Tomatoes served with pecan smoked bacon, parmesan and Bearnaise sauce; Cedar Springs Domestic Lamb Rack with potato gratin, roasted asparagus and a thyme demi glace; and an Angus Beef Ribeye. What started out as a local bakery and lunch bistro quickly blossomed into a hot-spot for date nights. The menu at Croissants Bistro and Bakery incorporates fresh, local ingredients to create classic dishes you’d find in the south with a French twist. Their shrimp and grits are not to be missed! The famous dish comes with andouille sausage, roasted red peppers, onions, fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese grits. Other highlights are the crab cakes, bomber shrimp appetizer and the warm artichoke and tomato lobster dip.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is nestled near the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes and one of the top steak houses in the area. They pride themselves on serving the freshest and finest ingredients like USDA Prime steaks and local produce. The menu features signature steaks served a la carte and specialty entrees like fresh lobster, market fresh seafood and barbecued shrimp. Finish your romantic night off with their caramelized banana cream pie or Crème Brulee.

New York Prime has been serving USDA Prime steaks with a true fining dining experience in Myrtle Beach for over 20 years. Steaks are aged for 28 days and prepared Pittsburgh-style. Menu items are served a la carte and options include live lobsters, petite filet mignon, porterhouse for two, Delmonico steak and more. Sides are made for splitting and include options like asparagus with hollandaise, onion rings, cheese mashed potatoes and creamed spinach.

Greg Norman’s Australian Grille is located on the waterfront at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach and features amazing views of the marina. You and your date can watch the boats pull in and out of the Intracoastal Waterway as you enjoy award-winning food and wines. Start off your romantic dinner with broiled escargot with sautéed garlic, herbs and white wine and move on to your choice of pasta, poultry, fresh fish or wood-grilled classics.

Located at the luxurious North Beach Plantation, 21 Main serves a variety of fresh sushi, steaks and seafood. The restaurant vows to give you the dining experience of your dreams” and reservations are suggested. Scallops 21 with corn and butternut squash hash with truffle oil infused potato au gratin and cauliflower and saffron puree; a 40 ounce Tomahawk Ribeye and Seafood Ettouffee with crawfish, andouille sausage, scallops and shrimp are just a few of the highlighted menu items.

What’s more romantic than cheese and chocolate? Not a whole lot if you ask us! The Melting Pot serves the best of both worlds right on your table. They have six different cheese fondues to pick from and you can even opt to craft your own Wisconsin cheddar by adding a local brew. Entree fondues are available but we prefer to skip straight to dessert where you can dip into Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, Flaming Turtle and Chocolate S’Mores. Reservations are recommended, especially during special holidays.
