Myrtle Beach Facebook: What our fans are saying this week

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks with the launch of our new Myrtle Beach videos series and with Hurricane Earl churning off our coast, but we’ve enjoyed hearing from all our great Facebook fans through it all. 

Fall was the theme of a lot of our posts, and we had some awesome Myrtle Beach photos posted to our wall of waves from Earl and of couples in Myrtle Beach, too. 

Earl was a huge part of the buzz leading up to Labor Day weekend. We featured two videos talking about the weather before and during the effects we felt here on the coast. Fans posted some FABULOUS photos of the wave action and even captured a few of the excited surfers in action. We appreciate all the well-wishers to keep the big guy off our coast!

Fans shared with us their favorite fall festival. Beach Boogie and Barbecue got some fun shoutouts and the fall bike rally was another popular choice and made for some interesting conversations! Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival and just making your own festival on the beach topped off the list. Billy Howard shared a great memory with us, “when I was stationed there, it wasn’t so much festivals or anything like that, it was when the summer was over and you could get up and down the strand in 5 minutes instead of 5 hours.” We agree, sometimes making your own fun is the way to go! 

Fan photos of them with their loves were posted on the Facebook wall. We loved seeing the smiling faces all around the Myrtle Beach area. Whether you were on your bike, on the beach or at a fun show- we couldn’t pick just one favorite!

As another summer season comes to a close our fans shared what they will miss the most about summer. Pam Meade said it best when she said, “I am missing everything I enjoyed this summer in my little house at the beach-it was amazing!!” We see that our fans aren’t too fond of the winter months and it was especially evident when Rena Selph Caldwell said, “I love everything about summer, wearing my summer clothes mainly, I don’t like COATS!” 

Our new video series is under way, and we want input from you on where we should shoot each week. Let us know on our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Facebook page where you would like to see the next one shot and we’ll try to get out there. Maybe you want a short tour of the boardwalk, or what about seeing a bird’s eye view from the rollercoaster at Family Kingdom? We’ll post a new video every week with another fan choice so please keep the ideas coming!

We love to hear about planned trips to the beach, what you miss about the beach and seeing smiling faces in the gorgeous pictures posted daily.
