HBO’s Series “Eastbound and Down” to Film in Myrtle Beach Next Week

“Eastbound and Down,” the popular comedy series on HBO will be filming in Myrtle Beach next week, according to reports from The Sun News and SCNow.com.

The newspaper says TV crews will film at such landmarks on the Grand Strand as Family Kingdom, the Oceanfront Boardwalk, BB&T Coastal Field and more from July 5-9. The city council is scheduled to vote on a special events permit later today. SCNow.com reports that actor Matthew McConaughey is scheduled to be in town for the filming.

“Eastbound and Down” stars Danny McBride who plays ex-major league baseball player, Kenny Powers, who is attempting to get back in the game. Will Ferrell serves as Executive Producer of the hit show.
