No need to rush home from a Myrtle Beach vacation to take the kids trick-or-treating. Countless families extend their October Myrtle Beach reservations through Halloween to take advantage of the Grand Strand’s spooktacular events

Every year, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach host several trick- and trunk-or-treat events for locals and visitors. 12–4 p.m. Oct. 28, Barefoot Landing, 4898 Highway 17 

Celebrate Halloween early at Barefoot Landing’s annual BooFest in North Myrtle Beach. This daytime event is a safe bet for families with easily spooked kids who still want to stock up on sweets. Once the event is over, stick around and explore the shops and dining options at Barefoot Landing.

4:30–6:30 p.m. Oct. 31, Broadway at the Beach, 1325 Celebrity Circle

Costume up and travel from store to store gathering treats around Broadway at the Beach. With no traffic to cause mayhem, this Myrtle Beach Halloween event is a worry-free evening for the parents of little ones. Before satisfying your sugar tooth, grab a bite to eat at one of the many Broadway at the Beach restaurants.

5–7 p.m. Oct. 31, Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, 4025 Highway 17

At Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, kids trick-or-treat before the grownup fun begins. Bragging rights and prizes will be awarded at the annual Children’s Costume Contest at 6 p.m. in front of Drunken Jack’s pirate statue. Before calling it a night, treat yourself at one of the eight MarshWalk restaurants participating in this year’s frightfully fun Halloween event.
