Facebook Fans Select Myrtle Beach Hotels by Location and More
Spring is finally here and we couldn’t be happier! MyrtleBeach.com’s Facebook fan page has seen some spring growth and is almost at 70,000 fans. This week, we wanted to know what makes our fans pick a particular hotel or resort in Myrtle Beach. We also asked about the best attractions at the beach. See what our fans had to say.
We posed a question asking what factors play the biggest role when deciding on a Myrtle Beach hotel or resort. Locations, amenities, reviews and price were the things we wanted fans to rank. The majority of our fans said that location was a huge factor. They want to be on or near the beach and close to attractions. Price is always a factor since everyone wants a bargain. Folks definitely do their research and look at the reviews on a hotel before booking but it’s still not the number one factor that helps them decide.
Since location affected the majority of our fans’ decisions on which hotel or resort to choose, we wanted to know what they needed nearby. Nearly everyone said that the beach is where they wanted to be closest. Others like Myrtle Beach resorts that are close enough to restaurants and attractions so they can walk. Nina Billadello Florio was staying at the Breakers when we asked and said she loves “that you can park the car and then just walk to all sorts of neat places to eat and shop.”
Since people love to stay near attractions too, we asked about some favorites that they recommend. Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing always make the list whenever we ask about things to do in Myrtle Beach. Tanger Outlets, Ripley’s Aquarium, Molly Darcy’s, piers and the beach were popular spots for our fans of Myrtle Beach. Thanks to Emily Malone Plumley who said “Myrtle Beach in itself is an attraction.” We agree!
