We polled our MyrtleBeach.com Facebook fans about their favorite seafood restaurants in Myrtle Beach and received a huge list of all-you-can-eat buffets and family-owned restaurants and cafes all along the Grand Strand. Our famous seafood restaurants serve everything from crab legs and peel and eat shrimp to steam pots and the fresh catch of the day prepared your way. If you’re craving seafood on the Grand Strand, here are our fan recommendations.

Crabby Mike’s Seafood has been a staple in the Myrtle Beach area for more than 20 years and continues to please its guests with its endless seafood buffet. The buffet is packed with hot food bars, a cold bar, a soup bar, a salad bar and a fruit and dessert bar. Feast on Alaskan Snow Crab Legs, friend shrimp, broiled shrimp, baked salmon, steamed crawfish, crab soup, seafood pasta salad and much more. There’s plenty for the non-seafood lovers with selections like lasagna, prime rib and macaroni and cheese.

The Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood is located on Restaurant Row in Myrtle Beach and offers a 170-item buffet with fresh local seafood. They offer a pasta station, crab bar, carving station, an in-house bakery and dozens of “Calabash style” seafood items. It's no wonder they're voted "Best of the Beach" year after year. Sea Captain’s House Restaurant is consistently voted “Best of the Beach” for seafood restaurant and fine dining restaurant. Take a quick glance at the menu and the views and you’ll understand why. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties like a Seafare omelet with fresh crabmeat, shrimp, mushrooms and Monterey Jack cheese; She Crab Soup; Low Country Crab Casserole and Pan Seared Sea Scallops- all accompanied by a beautiful ocean view.

Captain George’s is another buffet favorite and is located just across the street from Broadway at the Beach. The buffet serves up hundreds of pounds of steamed shrimp, fried shrimp, scallops, fish, crab legs and so much more. They also offer an a la carte menu with Top Neck Clams on the Half Shell, New England clam chowder, Broiled Fish of the Day, beef specialties, kiddie selections, Oysters Rockefeller and a vegetable platter.

Drunken Jack’s Restaurant and Lounge is a wildly popular restaurant located on the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk. They feature lunch, dinner, appetizers and a happy hour menu. Favorite menu items include bacon wrapped scallops, seafood platters, local grouper, soft shell crabs, baked stuffed flounder and steak Neptune. The restaurant has an extensive selection of grilled items for your meat-eaters too. The lounge offers live entertainment- perfect for busy evenings along the Marsh Walk.

Drive north along Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach and you’ll soon see the huge orange crab atop Giant Crab Seafood Restaurant. Sara J’s is a family owned restaurant that offers fresh ingredients in classic recipes prepared to order. Their dishes are raved about up and down the beaches. Favorites include squid row calamari, filet of flounder, soft shell crabs, stuffed shrimp, Low Country shrimp and grits and an assortment of pastas, soups, salads, grilled items and much more. Enjoy views of the salt marsh and be sure to check out the 507-pound Blue Marlin in the dining room caught by the crew at Sara J’s.

Joe’s Crab Shack has two convenient locations on the Grand Strand and as their name states, crab legs are the main meals served up.  Take your pick from King Crab, Dungeness Crab or Snow Crab in steampots, buckets or platters. They also offer lobster, shrimp, fish, crawfish and clams in addition to steak, burgers, starters and desserts. Visit them at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach or Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach.
