Events Rundown: July 31- August 6, 2012

Get your summer on in Myrtle Beach with these great events for visitors and families all across the Grand Strand! From parades to live shows, there is truly something for everyone going on this week at the beach.
Don’t forget about the Summerfest strolling boardwalk parade at 7 p.m. every Wednesday night at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. The event will take place until the end of August on the streets of Barefoot Landing with a marching band, animals and much more. You don’t want to miss out on this exciting event!
96.1 WKZQ presents Bush at 8 p.m. at the House of Blues Myrtle Beach located at Barefoot Landing. Bush is a rock band known for their hit songs, “Glycerin,” “Machinehead” and “Comedown,” just to name a few.
Check out the I Heart Art Mini Golf Course available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Franklin Burroughs- Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. You can play mini golf and enjoy the culture of art all at the same time. Admission is $3 for 9 holes and $5 for 18 holes.
The 30th annual Craftsmen's Classic Art and Craft Festival will be held 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This is a great event to take part in for exclusive and unique art work. Artists have traveled from various locations of the country to take part in the festival. Admission for the event is $8 for adults, $1 for Children 6-12 years of age and free for all children under the age of 6.
It’s about that time of year again! Tax Free Weekend is from Friday through Sunday just in time to stock up on back-to-school clothes and supplies. Tax-free items include clothing, shoes, school supplies and computer equipment. Take advantage and receive some great deals throughout the weekend.
