Events Rundown: July 10-16, 2012

Enjoy some family fun in Myrtle Beach this week with some fabulous FREE events. The theaters have special concerts lined up in addition to their regular playbills. Visit our Events page for a complete list of Myrtle Beach events.
There will be free kids movies from 10 a.m. to noon at the Grand 14 Theatre at The Market Common every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until Aug. 16. This week’s movie is “Despicable Me.” There will be free admission for everyone. Upon arrival, don’t forget to purchase your $1 drinks and $1 popcorns. This will be an exciting, entertaining and inexpensive outing for the family to sit down, relax and laugh together.
One: The Show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and July 16 at the Alabama Theatre at Barefoot Landing. The show is filled with extraordinary performers that will leave their audience with an unforgettable night. “One: The Show” is overflowing with new music, songs, and dance numbers. If you are looking for a night of live entertainment filled with enjoyment, this may be the show for you.
Kenny Rogers will be in concert at 7 p.m. July 13 at the Alabama Theatre at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Rogers has over 20 No. 1 hit songs and has performed them to a variety of audience members. A few songs waiting to fill the theatre are “Daytime Friends,” “Lady” and “Lucille.” If you enjoy Kenny Rogers, come out and have an evening of great music.
The Market Common and Waccamaw Market Cooperative host the Deville Street Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday on Deville Street at The Market Common. All produce is grown locally and the seafood is caught locally as well. If you like fresh fruits and vegetables, take advantage of the market this Saturday.
The new boardwalk is surrounded by many attractions and restaurants that will keep you entertained. Hot Summer Nights at the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach will take place nightly until Sept 29. Everything from the nightly shows/entertainment is free to the public. Events taking place throughout the week include Whacker Barrell, kids’ carnival, live concerts, fireworks display and Dixieland on the Boardwalk. Unwind at the boardwalk, and have a great time doing it.
Join the Boathouse for Sunday Funday for their Outdoor Summer Concert Series. Yarn and Dangermuffin will be in concert Sunday, July 15. All concerts are free so come out and have an entertaining night filled with music and fun.
