Country Roads Bar & Grill coming to Myrtle Beach nightlife scene

In the famous words country music legend Alan Jackson “Everybody's gone country,” in Myrtle Beach lately. With excitement about the upcoming Carolina Country Music Festival reaching a fever pitch and more and more Nashville flavor popping up in bars and on stages around town, it's the perfect time for a new place for country folk to gather.

At least that's what the folks at Celebrations Nitelife are betting on by opening the brand-new Country Roads Bar & Grill at Broadway at the Beach later this month.

The bar will take over the location formerly known as Rodeo Bar & Grill, occupying the corner of Broadway's Celebrity Sqaure nightlife area closest to Hard Rock Cafe. Rodeo, which despite a country-themed name was known more for its DJs spinning Dance, House and Top 40, closed earlier this month after nearly two years in business.

According to Celebrations staff, Country Roads will “maintain a solid country & rock music format” and will feature live country music from local and national bands — not to mention a rotation of country DJs.

Billed as “The Biggest Country & Western Bar On The Grand Strand” the bar will also offer a selection of more than 20 craft beers, a moonshine bar, line dancing, trivia and a full menu of food.

Country Roads Bar & Grill will open on March 25, with a weekend full of live music and entertainment planned for its grand opening. Beginning March 25-27, nationally touring act the Davisson Brothers Band — a Grand Strand favorite — will perform at the bar, followed by Nashville recording artist and The Carolina Opry performer Brad Long on Saturday, March 28.

It will be the fifth Myrtle Beach nightlife spot opened by Celebrations Nitelife, which also owns Celebrity Sqaure dance clubs Malibu's Surf Bar and Club Boca, as well as live music spot Froggy Bottomz and arcade/sports bar Broadway Louie's.
