Most theaters change their shows to holiday themed performances around November or so. Try out Myrtle Beach’s signature shag dance at Fat Harold’s Beach Club or Duck’s Beach Club.  Or, enjoy dancing the night away to house and EDM music at Club OZ. There are several dance clubs along the Grand Strand, and there is certainly one for every age and every music taste.

Everywhere you turn in Myrtle Beach you will find somewhere to shop. In the summertime, many of the best shopping destinations are busy and shoppers are guaranteed to have to wait in line to make a purchase. However, if you come to Myrtle Beach in the fall, you won’t have to wait in these lines, and you can also enjoy outdoor malls like Market Common, Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, and Tanger Oulets in weather that won’t make you sweaty.  As always, shopping on Black Friday in Myrtle Beach is even crazier than fighting off the summer crowds, so make sure to avoid that day if you want a relaxed shopping experience.

If you’re leaving the kids at home while you vacation in the fall, then it is prime time to check out Myrtle Beach’s favorite alcohol tasting spots. Whether you are a wino, a beer drinker, or a liquor connoisseur, there is a place for you. If you want to dabble in wine tasting, be sure to stop by La Belle Amie Vineyard or Duplin Winery, both of which are located in North Myrtle Beach. Feel like sippin’ on a delicious brew? Coastal South Carolina is a wonderful place for fishing! In Myrtle Beach, you must possess a fishing license to fish from the surf; however, fishing from any of the several Grand Strand piers is permitted without a license. While it is cheaper to bring your own equipment, most piers offer fishing rod rentals, so you don’t have to worry about lugging your equipment with you on the airplane or in your car. If you are feeling more adventurous, consider a fishing charter. There are many great crews from Georgetown all the way up to Little River that offer different variations of fishing tours. 

As the weather cools down and Halloween approaches, it seems that the ghostly attractions in Myrtle Beach start to gain more and more popularity. Though many of these attractions exist all year, there is no better time to experience them than in the cool autumn breeze. Spend time braving through an interactive haunted adventure at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Nightmare Haunted House, or Outbreak: Dread the Undead at Hollywood Wax Museum. For haunting stories about the lore of the Grand Strand, be sure to book your ghost walk with Ghosts & Legends at Barefoot Landing. In October, many more attractions will pop up including Conway Ghost Walk which takes place in historic Conway. Be warned: all of these attractions are sure to send chills up your spine!

It may not be that fun in the summer since it is so darn hot out, but biking around Myrtle Beach in the fall can be quite refreshing. If you’re staying in a hotel close to every place you want to visit, then renting a bike can help you save gas money and also provides you with an entertaining way to exercise. During the summer the beach can be too crowded to ride a bicycle, but the beaches in the fall tend to be way less full and the temperatures are a lot more bearable.
